Aminé was gearing up for a global tour and brought Null Studios on to handle his stage visuals, arriving with a clear reference point already in mind, a Madonna visualiser built around Keith Haring's animations. I came in through a recommendation, and got talking with the Null team.
I shared a handful of animated references to Aminé to show what we could bring to the table, and he was sold. That confidence turned out to matter, as we were then briefed for over 30 animated visualisers in under a month. Once the planning started, the Null team handed me the opening track, "Vacay", to lead. I started with a rough animatic, working the visuals in a morphing, frame-by-frame style, and once Amine gave it the thumbs-up I put my head down and animated for over thirty hours straight until it was done.
Once the opener was done, I turned my attention to helping the rest of the team finish the other animatics in the final days before the tour kicked off. Aminé then went on to tour around the globe for over 4 months, garnering thousands of eyes and recordings.
