Cold Wave

Cold Wave's customers are vintage customers through and through, drawn to graphics that feel like they belong to an era. My job was to design new pieces that earned that feeling honestly: hand-made, hand-applied, on blanks built to patina like the garments on the racks.

I filtered vintage and pop culture references through a Cold Wave point of view. A Halloween run rebuilt the logo from cutout letters lifted from famous films, alongside a crashed car graphic, trucker caps and a fingerprint hoodie.

Nearly every run sold out almost instantly, with pieces turning up on footy players, wrestlers and hardcore bands around Perth.
